Theft of Wallet, Walmart, Mulberry
December 27, 2019
On Friday, December 21st at about 4:30 p.m., a woman accidentally left her wallet behind at the Mulberry Walmart Liquor Store.
Nobody turned the wallet in to Walmart management, so the woman contacted the Polk County Sheriff's Office.
A deputy went to the store and reviewed security video. The video showed a woman approach the checkout counter, place her wallet on top of the victim’s wallet, then picked them both up. The mystery woman left the store with the wallet and got into a black, midsize pickup truck.

Well you know when you get one Walmart theft story, another one is bound to follow. (People just love seeing their images on FB, don't they?)
The guy pictured below entered the Walmart at 355 Cypress Gardens Blvd and proceeded to gather items and place them in his buggy. ($174 worth)
We think you can tell the rest of the story. Yes, walked out of the Garden Center doors - except - he was stopped just outside. He proceeded to push the cart into the Walmart employee and ran.

Stolen Trailer, Lake Wales

Lake Wales PD: Stolen Trailer
Between December 25 at 4 p.m. and December 26 at 7 a.m., the below enclosed trailer was stolen from the construction site of the Popeye’s in Lake Wales at 612 State Road 60 West. This is a photo of the actual trailer, which belongs to Clancy Electric, LLC. The trailer is a 2020, 8.5’ X20’ enclosed Arising Industries trailer. The trailer tag is LXIT94. The trailer was locked with a hitch lock and the right side tires chained. The trailer was drug for a short distance before being removed from the site.

You know those cameras in the health and beauty aisle at Walmart? They are prominently displayed and are extremely clear! Evidently this guy doesn't or just doesn't care!
He went to Walmart (355 Cypress Gardens Blvd) and picked out a nice buggy (guessing he got one that didn't go clickity clack, clunk, clunk, kerthump, because he cruises up and down the aisles using only one hand. To push the cart that is. He uses both hands selecting items including a backpack to which he proceeds to place all of the items inside. He proceeds out of the doors with said backpack and hops on a brand new bike that he had waltzed out with earlier - you guessed it - without paying.

Winter Haven PD: Hey..... do you recognize either of these two ?
While inside of Dexter's Coin Laundry (834 6th St NW), the male entered the bathroom and proceeded to bust through the wall entering the office area. He attempted to open the coin machine, but the coin machine outsmarted him and wouldn't let him in! He certainly caused significant damage to the wall and the machine. The male is wearing a camouflage ensemble with crocks and a ball cap.

Missing Person Brian Klecha: Possible Homicide

Crime Stoppers offers reward in Brian Klecha missing persons case. Mr. Klecha has been missing for two years.

LAKELAND, Fla. – Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay is offering a reward up to $3,000 for information leading to the identification and arrest of the unknown suspect(s) involved in the Brian Edward Klecha missing persons case. FDLE agents continue to search for the 35-year-old who was last seen on December 27, 2017.
“After two years, we continue to work leads in this case, but we need more information. Someone knows what happened to Brian or where he is now, and we won’t stop until we know,” said FDLE Tampa Bay Special Agent in Charge Mark Brutnell. “We are asking anyone with information about Brian Klecha to please contact Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay at 800-873-TIPS (8477).”
Background:
Brian Klecha was last seen making a banking transaction on December 27, 2017, at MidFlorida Credit Union in Auburndale. He has ties to Orange, Polk and Hillsborough counties and was an employee of the Disney Corporation.
Agents believe Mr. Klecha did not leave or go missing on his own and believe he may have been the victim of domestic or drug abuse.
On February 11, 2018, his vehicle was found abandoned on State Road 618 in Tampa at the Morgan Street Exit. Investigators believe the Jeep had been involved in a car accident a few days earlier.

The Polk County Sheriff’s Office requests assistance with identifying the man in this photo.
On Friday, December 6th, at about 6:40 p.m., the suspect went into the Mulberry Walmart Liquor Store and selected two Crown Royal whiskey bottles (apple flavor) worth a total of $80, then exited without paying.

Homicide, Wahneta

PCSO detectives are investigating the shooting death of 50-year-old Raidel Armas Gonzalez of Mulberry at a house in Wahneta (unincorporated Winter Haven). Sheriff’s deputies responded to 441 Fernandez Street in Wahneta Wednesday night, December 18, 2019 at approximately 8:45 p.m. and discovered Mr. Gonzalez in the yard of the residence deceased from an apparent gunshot wound. Deputies also discovered the residence was an active marijuana grow-house with approximately 162 pounds of marijuana inside drying.
“This is another example demonstrating the connection between drugs, violence, and death. Illegal marijuana cultivation is a large, dangerous, and violent business. The myth that the manufacture and trafficking of illegal drugs, including marijuana, is somehow a non-violent, non-lethal, not serious crime, is a lie. Try telling Mr. Gonzalez’ family, or the innocent people who live in this neighborhood, that the manufacture, sale, and use of illegal drugs are not serious, dangerous, and deadly.” –Grady Judd, Sheriff
The house is owned by 49-year-old Marcos Gutierrez who was there at the time of the shooting. He told deputies that he was inside the house when Gonzalez was shot outside. Gutierrez also has a home in Mulberry.
The death investigation ongoing, as is the investigation related to the illegal grow house.
