Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon

Winter Haven Police detectives are asking for the public`s help in locating a convicted felon who has been identified as the person who fired multiple shots in the Palmetto Ave. area of Winter Haven.

On 4-4-17 at approximately 10:05 p.m., police received a call of shots fired in the 200 block of Palmetto Ave. NE in Winter Haven. When officers arrived, interviews were conducted and it was determined that 21 year-old Brian Morency was the person who fired the gun while in the street. Nobody was injured in the incident. 

Morency, who has felony convictions for Battery, Burglary and Grand Theft of a Firearm is also on probation for the Felony Battery charge.

Winter Haven Police obtained a warrant for Morency`s arrest for charges of Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.

Anyone who has information on the whereabouts of Morency is asked to call Heartland Crime Stoppers at 1-800-226-TIPS (8477). Callers can remain anonymous and could be eligible for a CASH reward of up to $3,000.
