Deputies from the Polk County Sheriff’s Office are looking for a stolen boat and trailer.
A woman in Polk City reported that someone stole her green and white 2008 MTX Catamaran (22.5 ft) and silver trailer sometime on May 26th or 27th from her North Poyner Road property. The graphics on the side of the boat includes water and a fish.

A burglary occurred at Marcos Pizza on Duff Road in Lakeland on Sunday morning, June 2nd, at around 5:00 a.m.
Our unknown suspect (wearing black pants, a blue hoodie, and black ball cap) broke into the store and went to the counter, where he busted open a safe and removed the contents.
Multiple deputies responded, along with Aviation, K9, and drone, but ultimately, they were unable to find the bad guy, who might have gotten away in a vehicle parked nearby.
Even though our bad guy was not captured at that time, he was captured on security video, and we’re hoping someone might recognize him, and make our unknown suspect a known suspect.
Lake Placid PD is looking for two thieves in a green Chevrlet truck who stole items from a truck in the Golden Corral parking lot today around 12:40p. Last seen headed south on US 27
They are described as:
1- white male with tattoos on his arms-chin hair.
1- Hispanic looking male with tattoos on his neck
One of them was wearing a traffic vest. Both around 5-6 to 5-8 in height.
Detectives with the Polk County Sheriff’s Office need the public’s help with identifying a suspect in a retail theft case.
On Wednesday, May 29, 2019, this susject entered the Dollar General at 4336 Kinghts Station Road in Lakeland with an empty shopping cart.
The suspect walked around the store and collected several items and placed them in the cart before walking out of the store without purchasing any items.
The store clerk followed her out and asked her if she was going to pay, but was ignored by the suspect.
The clerk identified the suspect vehicle to possibly be a Chevrolet Caprice with no tag.

Polk County Sheriff’s Office Robbery detectives are currently investigating a bank robbery that occurred today, Thursday, 05/30/2019 at approximately 12:04 p.m. at the Fifth Third Bank, located at 435 Combee Road South in Lakeland. The unknown suspect walked up to the clerk and produced a note, demanding cash from the drawer. The clerk provided the suspect with money at which time the suspect fled the bank on foot, south on Combee Road. Neighboring business surveillance cameras captured the suspect enter and exit what appeared to be a gold Chevrolet Cruze, prior to and after the robbery occurred.
The suspect was described as a white male in his late 30’s to early 40’s, with a dark goatee, approximately 5’7” tall, and medium build. The suspect was wearing a black ball cap, large tan framed sunglasses with black lenses, a long sleeve black shirt, blue denim jeans with rips in the left knee and right thigh areas, and dark shoes with white soles.
Detectives believe this is likely the same suspect from a bank robbery that occurred in the city of Lakeland on May 25, 2019, at 1:58pm at the Chase Bank, located at 5555 Walt Loop Road. The suspect entered the bank two minutes prior to closing and produced a hand-written note, told the teller not to look at him and requested money. The suspect was given an undisclosed amount of money, after which he exited the business and ran to a light-colored (possibly gold or beige) Chevrolet Cruze that was backed into a parking space on the north end of Executive Cleaners & Launderers. The vehicle was observed driving south through the Plantation Plaza towards the exit at Old Combee Road.
LAKELAND, FL (May 28, 2019) | Dr. Patricia Mattson and Companion Animal Hospital have partnered with Heartland Crime Stoppers to offer an enhanced reward of $3,000 for the safe return of a missing cygnet (baby swan). The Mattson family is offering a $2,500 reward and an additional $500 reward is being offered by Heartland Crime Stoppers. A black-necked cygnet was last seen locked in a fenced enclosure on May 15, 2019, at approximately 3:15 p.m. located on the south bank of Lake Morton. The cygnet was discovered missing from the fenced enclosure the next morning at approximately 6:30 a.m. The three-month-old swan is light gray with a black beak and black feet. It weighs approximately 1.5 pounds and is twelve inches long. The cygnet is the only black-necked swan in the City of Lakeland to be hatched from incubation and is worth approximately $4,000.
“If this swan was stolen, we are hoping that someone can help us safely return this baby swan to its home at Lake Morton,” said Dr. Patricia Mattson. “These birds represent our beautiful City and we put so much love and care into ensuring this cygnet had a chance to live a long life here in Lakeland. We went through a great deal to get this baby swan to a point where it could be released on Lake Morton and while we were getting the cygnet acclimated to the area, it mysteriously vanished.”
Lakeland Bank Robbery.
On May 25, 2019 at 1:58 P.M the Lakeland Police Department responded to Chase Bank, 5555 Walt
Loop Road reference to a bank robbery that just occurred. The suspect entered the bank two minutes
prior to closing. The suspect produced a hand-written note with unknown writing, told the teller not to
look at him and requested money. The suspect was given an undisclosed amount of money. The suspect
took the money, exited the business and ran to a gold or beige color Chevrolet Cruze that was backed
into a parking space on the north end of Executive Cleaners & Launderer. The suspect entered the rear
passenger door of the vehicle, and the vehicle was observed driving south through the Plantation plaza
towards the exit at Old Combee Road.
No weapons were displayed or seen during the incident and no injuries were reported.
The suspect is described as a Caucasian or Latino male in his late 20’s or early 30’s, approximately 5’10”,
180lbs, with a groomed beard and mustache. He was last seen wearing a grey hat, aviator style
sunglasses, black “Bimini Bay Outfitters” long sleeve shirt, blue jeans with holes, and tan boots.
Polk County Sheriff’s Office detectives need the public’s help in identifying a subject involved in a simple battery case.
On May 5, 2019, an unidentified woman entered the Circle K Conveience Store located at 8324 US Highway 98 North in Lakeland to purchase tobacco.
While the clerk was conducting normal procedures set in place for purchasing tobacco, the suspect became irate, grabbed a bag of M&M’s, and threw it at the clerk, striking her in the abdomen.
The suspect fled the scene and has not been identified at this time.
The subject is described to be a heavy set black female with with pink hair, crystals on the bottom row of her teeth and approximately 5’5-5’7.
